DOTM Cyberfire Bumblebee is a direct repaint of the Deluxe Class DOTM Bumblebee. It's packaged in the same Deluxe Class packaging as the original release.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112815.jpg)
Even the character bio does not differentiate it from the original Bumblebee. So I would say that instead of calling this toy "Stealth Bumblebee", the designers decided to get a little more creative and call him Cyberfire instead.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112816.jpg)
Now where did they get the idea for "Cyberfire"? Well, I'd say it's from the paint job. So instead of a solid black and yellow repaint, they got a black body and gave it yellow crackling effects.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112817.jpg) Car mode is similar to the original release -- nice and solid with all 4 wheels touching the ground.
There is a Mechtech port located on top of the roof of the car.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112818.jpg)
It's great for mounting all sorts of Mechtech or 5mm pegged weapons on.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112819.jpg) Note the red plastic used in the windows and clear parts -- to foreshadow that this isn't your typical 'Bee repaint.
Just a little note from those who may have noticed, the plastics under the rear windshield look like a couple of extra guns.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112820.jpg)
One of my favorite points of the DOTM Deluxe 'Bee mold is the smooth and simple transformation. No need to worry about the head clearance as it passes through the hood or worry about Automorph gears.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112821.jpg)
The best feature of Cyberfire Bumblebee is the great light piping which gives Bumblebee a totally different persona!
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112822.jpg) Even with minimal light, the eyes glow red.
Now here's something worth mentioning -- this Deluxe Class mold of Bumblebee actually has elbows which bend in the correct direction!
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112824.jpg) This mold's arms aren't for armpit-scratching or face-palming like Cannon Bee, Battle Blades Bee, Nitro Bee or even Leader Class Bee.
From a small weapon, the gun transforms to a large-bore weapon. The Mechtech weapon does not lock in place.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112825.jpg)
This version of 'Bee has 2 hands which can actually hold something! It's a tight fit but it works.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112827.jpg) Note that there are also Mechtech ports on 'Bee wrists. The ones on Cyberfire Bumblebee's wrists are much tighter than those on the regular counterpart.
Oh, and as if Mechtech ports on the hands and wrists aren't enough, there are also hardpoints to mount C-clip accessories on his wrist.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112834.jpg)
As the next couple of pictures will show, the the hands are not limited to holding Mechtech weapons.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112828.jpg)
This mold of 'Bee also has a waist swivel. Something not found on a good number of Movie Bees.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112831.jpg) ...so, which one looks better? The yellow to match the crackling paint or the red to match the eyes?
I'd also like to mention that the joints on Cyberfire Bumblebee are tighter than those on the regular release. Proof of this is the elbow of Cyberfire 'Bee can bend enough to hold up the shield from touching the ground. The elbow can take the weight of the sheild.
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112832.jpg)
Here's Cyberfire Bumblebee with Nitro Bumblebee:
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112835.jpg) No way I'll call Nitro Bee better than Cyberfire.
Here's Cyberfire Bee with the regular deluxe release:
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112842.jpg) The range of movement of the arms, legs, ankle and waist all combine to enable this mold of Deluxe class Bumblebees to carry big weapons.
...and here's repaint Bee with repaint Prime:
![[image] [image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers%202/DOTM_CyberfireBee/081220112839.jpg)
I have to admit that I was initially apprehensive in buying the DOTM Cyberfire Bumblebee since it was nothing more than a repaint of the Deluxe Class Bumblebee I already had. There are 2 things which this version has over the original: 1) Those glowing red eyes 2) Tighter joints. I personally place this mold as one of the top playable Bumblebee molds to have come out. If you're looking to complete your 'Bee collection or just looking for an impulse buy, this is one mold which you won't go wrong with.

d**n. After this review I think I want to get this one over the Nitro one. Nice variation on the Bee mold.

Nice review on this, zephon, you made me convince to pick him up one of this days. However, this figure really gives Bumblebee a different persona, he could be a darkside version or the Decepticon Bumblebee. It can also be renamed as "Sore Eyes Bumblebee".
I already had the Wave 1 version and the translucent one. I passed on the Nitro version since I dont find him attractive in a Hulk type version in robot mode. Maybe I couldn t afford to let this Cyberfire B'bee pass this too.

Fantastic review. Bought mine during the SM North 3-day sale and definitely miles ahead of the regular DOTM bee despite this one being a repaint. Here's mine. Love the red light piping.

Great review sir! Thanks!
Bee here looks more of a Decepticon to me. He's looks,,, its like a bad spirit has set in him! Just too bad that his mechtech weapon is not re-painted. It might be good in black and/or red.

Guns are from DOTM Laserbeak. Not bad if seen from a different perspective.

i'm not a fan of his alt mode, but the bot mode totally won me over! the piping is a pure win! it makes him less of the old bumblebee and more of a new BAD-blebee.
