I found that gently turning the wrist while you bend makes them move smoother.

I saw this thread about recasting small parts using an epoxy putty called milliput.
http://plamo.outthere.info/forum/showthread.php?tid=38

I was wondering if it's possible to do the same with Waterstop (I love this stuff!).

I'm also gonna try it out when I get home later.
For obvious reasons, this isn't suitable for incredibly tiny parts, since waterstop wasn't made for this, but if it does work, it's gonna be one busy weekend for me ;D.

@graphicdude, can you give more info about that dental powder stuff? Where to buy, how much, how the final product feels/looks like, etc. Might be something worth trying. Thanks.

@magnusfan, from experience, waterstop is very difficult to cast with. You get a lot of bubbles and pitting. The wastage is too much since a lot of the casts end up being unusable. But you may be more successful with it. Please post pics of your casts. Thanks.

Here's their website http://www.smooth-on.com/

They do have a local distributor for their products. I think it's in Fairview ???

I've tested the waterstop theory and it works
first let the other half dry first..couple of hours
the apply petroleum jelly on the dried half
then apply the new waterstop layer...

@archer
the dental items is a lot cheaper almost below p200
and can be bought in dental shops. raon, monumento and other nearby dental, medical schools
it's super hard when it dries it's originaly used for false teeth

I got some noob questions here.

Which is heavier, Waterstop or Elastoseal?

Follow up question, which is sticks more between the two?

Thanks!

Definitely waterstop ;) And when it cures it's harder than Elastoseal.

Now for my concern, apologies if someone already raised this before...

I'm planning to disassemble some old TFs I have. They're somewhat

"battle-damaged" because of playtime ;D

But before i prime/paint them...

I'm just curious if there are alternative/replacement parts for those

small "metal pegs" found on TFs?

Especially the ones that hold the wheels? ???

The TFs I'm planning to disassemble have rust buildup on their

wheel pegs so this scenario really got me thinking :P

Hoping for any kind assist, thanks ;)

Question regarding clear paint, I know there is a Tamiya Clear colored Spray paint (red and blue) . I was wondering if other spray paint brands also carry this type of paint?
Most of the shops I've visited (malls and some local HW stores) only have Clear gloss types (for top coat).

Does anyone knows a particular shop that carry this type of spray paint?

TIA

Hi guys.

I'm a dumb@$$ when it come to customizing. I usually just ruin the figure when I try to paint it or do something to change it.

However, I recently acquired a Marvel Legends Bleeding Edge Iron man.

It was a friend of mine who got it from the US and, knowing him, he does not really care about the paint apps of a figure (as long as he owns one). Hence, my figure has this small scrapes/scratches on his face plate.

What I would like to ask is, what the easiest method to cover up the scrapes/scratches?
I borrowed gundam markers from my friends, however, the shade of gold/yellow is very far from the color of the fig.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
